IoD survey discloses reduced intentions for remainder of time due to uncertainty caused by Covid-1 9
Businesses have dramatically scaled back investment plans for the rest of the year in response to the uncertainty surrounding the future of the UK economy, are consistent with a conducting business survey.
The Institute of Directors( IoD) said its confidencetracker exposed the Covid-1 9 crisis had driven down investment intentions among its members for the next 12 months by 11 percentage points to a record low of -4 3 %.
The coronavirus lockdown has virtually halted international trip and tourism investments, hitting airlines and other travelling corporations, aerospace and automobile manufacturers and oil companies hard.
